Nathan Kebede is a Licensed Civil Engineer and an Associate Vice President at Michael Baker International. He leads Michael Baker's National Pavement Services team that provides pavement data collection and pavement management consulting services to local, regional, state, and federal agencies. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Jackson State University and a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Nathan's experience spans years of leading manual and automated pavement condition surveys and providing pavement management consulting to airport and roadway authorities at all levels of government. Nathan is very passionate about advancements in pavement inspection technologies and the utilization of pavement management systems for increasingly optimized and informed decision-making. Nathan has been an active participant in the Transportation Research Board's annual meeting and a number of associated committees. Nathan was also the Chief Operating Officer of ARRB Systems (US) from 2019 - 2022 where he was critical in introducing advanced pavement evaluation systems to the US market.
When Nathan is not busy leading the fight against potholes and pavement cracking, he enjoys hiking and exploring new places with his wife and children.
