Dr. Xiaobing Li started working with the Motorcycle Injury Prevention program at CUTR in July 2021. He received his Ph.D. degree in transportation engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in May 2018. Prior to joining CUTR, he worked as an ITS traffic engineer summer intern at TDOT and postdoctoral research associate at Alabama Transportation Institute at UA. His research interest primarily focuses on big data analytics and simulations for traffic safety and operations. He has published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings. He also serves as a review board member for well-reputed journals. He has successfully delivered multiple projects sponsored by different agencies, i.e., TDOT, GDOT, ALDOT and NSF.
