Kyle Bathgate is a Doctoral student at the University of Texas at Austin, working in the Resilient Infrastructure and Smart Cities (RISC) Lab under Dr. Zhanmin Zhang. After earning his BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Kyle earned an MS at UT Austin and is currently working towards his PhD. His research focuses on infrastructure resilience and asset management, specifically examining the impacts of extreme weather events and climate change on transportation infrastructure and networks. Kyle has experience working with topics related to seaports, multi-modal infrastructure, and evacuation planning.
