Dr. Jorge A. Prozzi is a Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental
Engineering (CAEE) at The University of Texas at Austin, where he has been actively conducting
research for more than 17 years in the pavement materials, design and management. His research and
teaching areas include: testing and behavior of road building materials, design and rehabilitation of
pavements; asphalt technology; mechanistic and empirical design; database development and
management; applications of probability and statistics to pavement engineering problems; and
pavement management systems.
