Dr. Srinivas Peeta is the Frederick R. Dickerson Chair and Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, he is a Professor at the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and System Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He has more than 34 years of experience with expertise in transportation system engineering. He has authored over 460 technical publications and has given over 530 talks/lectures in several countries. In his Autonomous and Connected Transportation (ACT) lab, his research group conducts multidisciplinary research that span several methodological domains including:(1) Dynamics of Large-Scale Transportation Systems,(2) Network Planning and Design Models,(3) Information Characteristics, Content and Delivery under ACT,(4) Autonomy/Automation and Traffic Flow,(5) Driving Simulator and Virtual Reality Environments, Vehicle-Human-Infrastructure Interactions under ACT Technologies,(6) Human-Machine Interfaces under ACT Technologies,(7) Learning/Behavior/Behavior Modification Mechanisms of Drivers/Travelers,(8) Traffic Flow Modeling and Operations under ACT Technologies,(9) Multimodal Transportation under Emerging Technologies, and (10) Transportation, Energy and Environment Linkages, etc.
