In this workshop, attendants will learn about novel technologies and workflows to deploy Digital Twin models for advanced operational maintenance of horizontal infrastructure. The Digital Twin paradigm is a data-based methodology consisting of a physical asset, its virtual representation, and multiple data streams in between. We will first discuss aspects related to remote and embedded sensing techniques for pavements applications. Based on data collected from physical assets, the workshop will then discuss data acquisition and management. Artificial Intelligence-based modeling will then be presented, together with advanced visualization techniques for data aggregation and decision making.
