Jingran Sun graduated with his Bachelor of Engineering from Chongqing University. Soon after, he joined the Construction Engineering and Project Management program at the University of Texas at Austin. After he received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering, he continued his study towards a Doctor of Philosophy in Transportation Engineering program. During his Ph.D. study, he received another Master of Science in Statistics. During his stay at the university, he worked as a graduate research assistant at the Center for Transportation Research of the University of Texas at Austin. His primary research interests include infrastructure resilience optimization, infrastructure interdependency simulation, infrastructure management, and asset management. He is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Transportation Research of the University of Texas at Austin.
