Ken Perrine is a Research Associate at the Center for Transportation Research at the University of Texas at Austin. His research interests include microscopic traffic modeling, traffic system optimization, intelligent transportation systems for active traffic management, and transportation system usability. Ken received his undergraduate degree with honors in Computer Engineering from Pacific Lutheran University in 1998. He studied intelligent transportation systems at University of Washington, receiving an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2008, and then studied communications and networking systems at UT Austin, receiving an M.S.E. in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2011. He has worked in high-performance computing and data visualization at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, in the traffic management center for the Seattle Department of Transportation, and also with the US traffic signal controller software group at Siemens.
