Driven by passion and excellence, Ms. Bassil completed her B.E. in Civil Engineering with high distinction at the Lebanese American University. She was selected to be part of the DSLIP (DCC Syracuse LAU internship program) at Dubai Contracting Company. Driven by her love for knowledge, she went on to pursue a Masters of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering also at the Lebanese American University. For her Master’s thesis, she explored connected and autonomous vehicles. Ms. Bassil served as a committee member in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) LAU chapter. She was an active member of the Engineers Without Borders club – LAU Chapter where she developed her community service spirit. She is currently in Dr. Machemehl's team as Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves as the president of the WTS heart of Texas student chapter. Ms. Bassil aims to use her knowledge while applying the highest standard of engineering ethics.
