Dr. Ronik Patel is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. Dr. Patel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree from Gujarat Technological University and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He received the Outstanding Civil Engineering Ph.D. Student Award from the Department of Civil Engineering in 2019 for his excellent academic performance. His area of research focuses on shared autonomous vehicles and on-demand mobility.
Dr. Patel has three years of research experience and has worked on projects funded by the US Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration. He received an excellence award for research and operational performance of the Arlington Ridership Automation and Payment Integration Demonstration (RAPID) project from the Texas Parking and Transportation Association (TPTA) in 2022.
