Dr. Roya Etminani-Ghasrodashti is an Associate Transportation Researcher with the Transit Mobility Program at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI). She has ten years of instruction and research experience in the transportation field. Her area of research focus is demand responsive transportation, including microtransit, paratransit, and shared autonomous vehicle shuttles.
Roya Etminani-Ghasrodashti has led national and state-level research projects on topics of transportation accessibility and health-related outcomes, trip, and parking generation at transit-oriented developments, facilitating efficient trip chains through polycentric development programs, equity-driven approach to school zone safety to inform safe routes to school (SRTS) programs, shared autonomous vehicles (SAVs), and transportation open education resources. She has mostly contributed to research projects sponsored by the United States Department of Transportation (US DOT), the United States Department of Education (US DOE), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
Her expertise includes data collection, survey design, and performance of different research methods and data analysis. She received an excellence award for research and operational performance of the Arlington Ridership Automation and Payment Integration Demonstration (RAPID) project from the Texas Parking and Transportation Association (TPTA) in 2022.
