Dr. Praveena Penmetsa is an Associate Research Engineer at the University of Alabama. She has published over 40 research publications and conference proceedings on diverse topics that include road safety, connected & automated Vehicles, traffic operations and transportation policy/law. She has received funding from agencies such as AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, Alabama Department of Transportation, Georgia DOT, and North Carolina. She serves as the review editor for several journals. She has received her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Master’s from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee
