Dr. Abhary Eleyedath is a postdoctoral research associate in the CREATES Lab at Rowan University, New Jersey, USA. She is conducting research in Pavement Management Systems and supervising students working on assigned projects. Her recent research includes the pavement design projects for New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT).
She completed her B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2009 from NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad, Kerala, India and Master’s in 2012 from National Institute of Technology Trichy, India. In 2021, she obtained her Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Her Ph. D research with Dr. Aravind Krishna Swamy at IIT Delhi mainly focused on the application of machine learning techniques in the pavement engineering domain. Her research work translated into 14 publications and has potential application in several other fields, including chemistry, material science, polymer engineering, etc. She has more than 4 years of teaching experience and taught transportation engineering courses for undergraduate and graduate students as an assistant professor prior to her Ph.D., a teaching assistant at IIT Delhi while doing her doctoral research, and a guest faculty at National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, India thereafter.
