After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology of Organic Compounds from Kazakh-British Technical University'17 (Kazakhstan), Ardak Makhatova earned her M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Nazarbayev University’19 (Kazakhstan) after defending her thesis work over Photochemical Wastewater Treatment. During this time, she had 6 different journal publications with two of them being the first author. In 2021 she was admitted into the Ph.D. program in Materials Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University College Station, TX. Her current research focus is on Polyelectrolyte Complexes (PEC) and their use to stabilize natural soils.
